Something is hanging off a parked car - how do I alert the owner?

A loose bumper, undertray, exhaust component or object caught beneath a vehicle may not be obvious to the driver before they set off.
CarAlert exists for exactly this awkward gap: you can see the vehicle and its registration, but you do not know the owner and should not need their personal details just to pass on a useful warning.
What to do
- 1Do not crawl under or touch an unstable vehicle.
- 2Note what appears loose and where it is located.
- 3Enter the registration on CarAlert and send a factual warning.
- 4If the condition creates an immediate public hazard, contact the appropriate authority as well.
