Accessibility
Accessibility statement
We want CarAlert to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology.
Our aim
What we do
- We do not rely on colour alone to convey status — badges and alerts also carry text and symbols.
- We use clear headings, labels, and a logical reading order.
- Interactive controls are keyboard-operable and sized for comfortable tapping (at least 44px targets).
- We aim for sufficient colour contrast for text and key interface elements.
- Links that open an external official site are clearly labelled and open in a new tab.
Known limitations
This is an early version of the service and some areas may not yet fully meet our target. Known limitations may include parts of the in-app dashboard, some dynamic status messages, and content still under review. We are actively working to address these. If you hit a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us.
Contact us about access
If you have trouble using any part of the service, or need information in a different format, contact us at support@caralert.ie (placeholder address, pending the confirmed operator and domain). We will do our best to help and to fix the underlying issue.
Feedback and enforcement
We welcome feedback on accessibility and treat it as a priority. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the matter with the relevant national body responsible for web accessibility. Contact details will be confirmed here before launch.
Review
This statement will be reviewed regularly as the service develops. Last reviewed: [Review date — to be confirmed].
